Get the Most Out of LIFE

Last night a dear friend and fellow coach, Deiadre Rauch, hosted a book launch party for Daniel Sheres & I’s book, The Coaching Companion: Get the Most Out of Your Coaching Experience. Deiadre’s husband, Tom, asked us why we limited the book’s subtitle to Getting the Most from Your Coaching Experience…a comment my mother also made on an early draft. And guess what? Mom & Tom are wise souls. While we wrote this book with our clients in mind, and while each chapter uses “client” and “coach” language, Daniel & I speak to a dynamic that is part of being human. As we move through this life, we experience the world, ourselves in the world, and others in the world and in relationship with us. In each moment, we have the opportunity to be changed by our experiences. My friend and colleague Jan Rybeck said these very words during our recent Institute of Coaching webinar: “How often do we allow our experiences to change us?The Coaching Companion is so much more than a book for our coaching clients. It is written for every person who wonders what would be different if they woke up a bit more to their experiences, if they had greater capacity to notice the opportunities for growth in each moment, and if they allowed their experiences to change them a little more, a little more often. If you’d like to explore how to wake up to the growth opportunities embedded in each moment of life, please pick up a copy of The Coaching Companion and see what changes for you.

*Many thanks to our friend and fellow coach, Isik Tacoglu, for sharing this picture from our event!
